Kerala local body polls phase 2: 20.45% voter turnout till 10am

An average of 20.45 per cent polling was recorded in five districts that went to the polls in the second phase of local body polls in Kerala on Thursday as per data available at 10am.

KOCHI: An average of 20.45 per cent polling was recorded in five districts that went to the polls in the second phase of local body polls in Kerala on Thursday, according to data available at 10am.
Elections are being held for 8,116 wards in 451 local bodies in Kottayam, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad and Wayanad districts in the second phase. In Ernakulam, the polling percentage in Kochi corporation is the lowest with 18.38 per cent votes polled till 10am.

Koothattukulam municipality has recorded the highest polling percentage in the same period.
The polling percentage for other districts: Ernakulam- 20.11%, Thrissur- 20.34%, Palakkad- 19.84%, Wayanad-21.03% Kottayam- 20.95%
